Conway's Game of Life
I have been fascinated with Cellular Automaton since my college computer graphics classes. More specifically I love the classic Conway's Game of Life. A set of simple rules executed in a loop. The rules pertain to the life and death a single cell based on their previous state and the state of their immediate neighbors. Here is a great set of videos with Conway talking about this and other things.
My fairly unsophisticated implementation below can be found on my Github. Use the buttons above the game to play, pause, step, randomize, clear, go fullscreen, and open the settings menu. Click the grid to toggle a cell.
